Rohit Sharma holds the record for most centuries in single edition of an ODI World Cup. He registered a tally of five centuries in the 2019 ODI World Cup. He led India’s batting unit and emerged as the highest run-getter in the 2019 CWC.  With 648 runs in 9 matches, scored at an average of 81, the Indian opener was in prime form. He began his campaign with a ton against South Africa at Southampton. Courtesy of Sharma’s terrific display of form, India managed to reach the Semis in 2019 WC before bowing out against New Zealand in a crunch thriller. Kumar Sangakkara is closely behind Sharma with his four hundreds scored in 2015. Playing in his ultimate WC edition, the Southpaw unleashed his best form, amassing 541 runs at an average of 108.
