In 2021, RedBird Capital Partners acquired a 15% stake in the franchise for an undisclosed sum. As of 2025, they are reportedly contemplating selling their share to take advantage of the rising IPL valuations. Lachlan Murdoch, the British businessman and media executive, also holds a minority stake of around 13% in Rajasthan Royals.
